Students of the Graduate School of Applied Linguistics and Translation are winners of the International Competition

Foreign students of the Graduate School of Applied Linguistics and Translation took part in the first International Competition Russian Language in Professional World held by the Institute of Russian language of PFUR and supported by the Russkiy Mir foundation.

The total of 534 foreign students from more than 60 Russian and foreign universities took part in the Competition.

The first stage was successfully completed by 136 students from 26 universities of Russia, Belarus and Tajikistan. Later on, they gathered in People's Friendship University of Russia to continue the Competition.

The second stage included writing an essay, solving cases and participating in the business game called I know it!.

On November 1-3, our students competed for the top 3 places. They were distinguished by the jury, headed by Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Russian Language of PFUR Ivan Alekseevich Pugachev. The phrase "Well done, Petersburg!" was very often addressed to them (the city was represented only by our university). The results of the Competition are:

Metavin Emruen took the 1st place;

Miliyana Kovachevich took the 2nd place.

We sincerely congratulate the winners and their teachers on the victory! We wish them to stay always on top!
